  1. Open Web PrintDeck panel

    Connect your phone or computer to the same Wi-Fi network. Open the address shown on the device’s Web Config screen.

  2. Choose Hey PrintDeck!

    In the PrintDeck web panel, open Device Settings, then Hey PrintDeck!. Read the microphone and privacy information.

  3. Enable listening

    Select Enable voice listening. The Enabled state and microphone icon in the header confirm that listening is on. Your choice is saved on PrintDeck.

  4. Check sound and printer

    Keep sound on and the volume above zero to hear answers. Select an online printer and set your time zone for finish-time estimates.

Choose between two wake phrases: “Hey PrintDeck!” is the default; “Hi ESP!” is also available. Select your phrase in Web Config or Cloud settings. Only the selected phrase wakes PrintDeck.

    PrintDeck wakes the display and restarts the screen saver countdown, even if the display was off.

  2. Wait for “Yes?”

    Then say an English command within 7 seconds. Choose any phrase from the list below.

  3. Hear your answer

    Wait until PrintDeck finishes speaking before saying “Hey PrintDeck!” again. If no command is recognized, start again with the wake phrase.

Your voice. Your business.

Your voice stays on PrintDeck. No saved recordings. No audio sent to your printer or the cloud. Even the spoken answer is made right on the device, with no voice-service account needed.

Listening is your choice

Hey PrintDeck! is disabled by default. While enabled, the microphone continuously listens for the wake phrase, including during the screen saver and with the display off.

Switch it off at any time

In the PrintDeck web panel → Device Settings → Hey PrintDeck!, select Disable voice listening. Turning it off stops microphone listening. Muting the speaker only silences answers; it does not turn off the microphone.

Printer data stays local

PrintDeck checks the printer you have selected over your home network. Understanding your voice needs no internet; fresh print updates still need a connection to your printer.

Information, hands free

Ask about the print and keep doing your thing. Hey PrintDeck! answers the listed questions; it cannot start, pause or cancel a print, or change your printer’s settings.
